THE GOOD MORNING GROUP WITH RANDY EDWARDS
For over 25 years I was the host of the WLZZ morning show in Bryan, Ohio. (See “So, who is Randy Edwards”.)
For the last few years, I was the only morning show announcer in the company without a co-host or live news person to talk with. So, I came up with an idea. I always started the show by saying “Good morning, Group!” I decided to make the audience the “co-host” of the program. Through the phones and Facebook, “The Good Morning Group” made the show so much fun! I always said that I “was the little rudder that steered the big ship.”
By the time the show was canceled, the Group had amassed to over 5,000 Facebook friends. They decided that since I was leaving, they didn’t want to break up the Group. I started a Facebook page called “The Good Morning Group with Randy Edwards.” As of this time, nearly 1,500 Group members have joined. I do a little bit of what we did together on the WLZZ morning show, and the fun continues. I also post upcoming events, severe weather announcements, plus other items of interest.
